HONEY
BEAR
written by Dixie Willson, illustrated by Maginel Wright Barney (sister
of architect Frank Lloyd Wright), published by The P. F. Volland Company,
Joliet, Illinois, 1923, 19th edition. Gorgeous illustrations and
charmingly dated sweet little story make this one of the all-time-favorite
"Sunny Books" published by the popular Volland company. This copy
is in much better than average condition for this well loved book.
The binding edges are gently worn all around, and there are a few short
tears up from the bottom edge of some pages near the hinge, not affecting
any images and occasionally mended with archival tape, and one page has
a small piece missing at bottom near hinge. There are no marks or
large tears or serious dirt, and the colors of endpapers and illustrations
are quite brilliant. Overall a near Very Good copy. <SOLD> |
