ABOUT THE AUTHOR
(1926-)   Joan Walsh Anglund became successful with her first book, A Friend Is Someone Who Likes You, in 1958.  She's been making books featuring these same round-faced mouthless characters ever since, and her popularity continues to grow.  There's something ineffably sweet about her creations, which are based in large part on people and places in her own life-- particularly on her children Joy and Todd.

LOGANBERRY LEGACY
JWA is a perennial favorite here and a popular choice for gift books.  She seems to strike a nerve and her images of childhood have an innocence and purity that people respond to with a rush of nostalgia.  Older copies of her books are usually preferred by those who want their nostalgia to be real, right down to the feel the book, and the out-of-print Brave Cowboy is perhaps the most sought-after title here.  I usually have several used books in the Friend series (if you can call them a series), and of course I can order new copies anything still in print.  I also have several framed prints and a doll of hers available for sale.  Please inquire.
* Newsflash!  The Brave Cowboy is at last back in print! *

Hey, where's my favorite title?

Out-of-print books are harder to stock than new books, and some are hard to find, period.  If the title you are seeking is not listed for sale above, that probably means that I am currently out of stock.  However, I am always on the lookout for books, and will gladly quote you when I do find your coveted book. To add your name to my Wants Files, simply fill out a Book Request Form and I will e-mail you when I have a copy in stock.  Thanks.

SELECTED STUMPERS & REQUESTS
I have her What Color is Love story (tattered and torn from childhood) with a listing of her other titles at the time of print (60's) but can't find the actual book (on Web anyway).

I just discovered your web page about JWA and was very pleased to find there a link to my website!  I maintain "The Joan Walsh Anglund Pages" tribute site and, while browsing the net for resources to include in my next update, I found your site!  Thanks for the link!  I get mail from fans fairly regularly but it is particularly gratifying you felt my site worth sharing with your readers.  I would like to return the favor by including you as a link on my website for JWA collectors.  I don't know anything about collectibles but, since so many people ask me about them, I
try to maintain links to people in the know and point foks in their direction.  This is not a commercial operation so I put links up only as a service to collectors.  Thanks for making my day!  Best
wishes for the holidays.

Hi, I am 19 years old.  When I was a little girl, I used to order books from a book club.  I always ordered books from joan walsh anglund.  One time, the book came along with a doll.  I don't know the name of the book, and sadly, can't remember what I did with them. But recently I started collecting books by her that are still in print--but I'm still eager to have that doll.  I don't know if it's the doll you have, but just the same, I would want the doll--for good ol' childhood memories.  Please contact me if you'd be
interested in selling it or if you know where I could locate one.  Thank you so much!

Hello, I just stumbled upon your site in my Yahoo quest for a Joan Walsh Anglund Little Cowboy doll.  I had one when I was little (still have him and still love him).  My sister is pregnant with her first child and I have the two Cowboy books that have just recently come into print.  I was wondering if you might have a Cowboy doll.  I found one on ebay a few weeks back in mint condition and just perfect, but I lost him and have been kicking myself ever since. Anyway, enough babbling.  It's wonderful to see so many people appreciating the work of such a kind lady.  She came to Oak Brook, a nearby town, quite often and I have many autographed books.  There was always a line to see her because she would talk to every child and often drew little pictures of us.  Those are fond memories that my sister, mother, and I  share, and I hope my sister's child will be able to, also.

I had The Brave Cowboy when my son was little, and he wore it out. Now I want to share it with my grandsons and I can't find it anywhere. I know it is out of print. Anything you can do will be greatly appreciated.

You may know by now that The Brave Cowboy is out in a new revised edition.  The revised pages (3, I think) have to do with changing the "wild Indians" to "wild desperados"--a concession to political correctness.  The book is also slightly smaller than the
original.  I hope this is of some help to you.

Cowboy and His Friend: This is strictly for sentimental reasons, I don't need a mint-condition book, just one that's in decent shape.

Looking for as many as three copies of The Big Golden Book of Poetry...can you help restore this childhood memory ? I am only interested in the update from the '47 version which was published in the sixties.....Thanks a lot !

You have a wonderful service.  This is my first time ordering from your website.  I have just begun to fall in love with Joan Walsh Anglund books as I am of a younger generation who hasn't heard of her much.

I am trying to find the title of one of her books that
dates back to about the 60's. In it is only one phrase with a few words on each page. The phrase I am trying to clarify is " Just outside my knowledge are words which will explain everything". Do I remember the phrase correctly and is that book still available?

What a great website :)  I am looking for a framed poster (it doesn't need to be framed) that my sister uses to have. The poster has a picture of a little girl with brown hair with a white bow and a blue dress. The girl is holding a dove and at the bottom of the poster the word PEACE was written. My maiden
name is peace and I'm assuming that is why my sister wanted the picture. She is not here to answer that question since she was killed by a drunk driver 12 years ago. When I moved out of my mother's house I took the picture with my and forgot to take it on the next move. The house burned to the ground since then along with my picture. I would like to know if you have any information on how to contact a company affiliated with JWA so I could possibly get another print.
