A book probably from the 80s or even late 70s.Beautifully illustrated with diagram-like illustrations; one I remember in particular was a diagram of Baba Yaga’s house. Story about two girls and a hound dog solving spooky mysteries; definitely involve Baba Yaga at some point.
Perhaps one of the books from the “Something Queer is Going On” series by Elizabeth Levy? They involve two girls, Jill and Gwen, and a Bassett Hound, Fletcher.
