Picture book from 80’s / early 90’s. Pretty sure hardcover; color illustrations; story about forest animals who all bring a gift to a new baby. Think new baby was a deer, but not sure. Raccoon brings a fish, duck brings a feather, someone else brings fresh berries etc. Help? Thanks!
This sounds like ‘Wake Up, Sleepy Bear!’ by Greg and Christine Morton-Shaw, illustrated by John Butler, except it doesn’t look like that one was published until 2006.
“Baby animals are in action, making their way through the forest looking for something. After being awakened by the little brown cub who adorns the book cover, the animals gather seeds, nuts, berries and other gifts that they convey through the forest to a clearing.
