ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Leonard Kessler (1920-  ) has illustrated more than 200 children's books, most of which he also wrote, and 40 of which he created with his wife Ethel.  A prolific guy!  Most of these are designed for beginning readers, and three have been listed on the annual New York Times Ten Best Illustrated Books for Children.

LOGANBERRY LEGACY
Mr. Pine's Purple House is a cute and simple Easy Reader about the merits of non-conformity in a world full of peer pressure.  I've had lots of requests for it, and sometimes the book would elude me for years, then pop up in the most unexpected places.  It later became the namesake for another used book dealer who started reprinting lost children's classics, and thanks to Purple House Press, three of the Mr. Pine books are available in beautiful and affordable new editions.

Hey, where's my favorite title?

Out-of-print books are harder to stock than new books, and some are hard to find, period.  If the title you are seeking is not listed for sale above, that probably means that I am currently out of stock.  However, I am always on the lookout for books, and will gladly quote you when I do find your coveted book. To add your name to my Wants Files, simply fill out a Book Request Form and I will e-mail you when I have a copy in stock.  Thanks.

Do you have access to a copy (up to 3) of this book?  I do not remember the author's name.  My children who are grown vividly remember the story and have often said they would like to read it to their children.

Story about a man who makes signs for a city but loses his glasses and creates havoc by mixing up the signs.  Was my boyfriend's favorite book as a child and I would like to get it for him for his birthday in June.

The 3 copies of Mr. Pine's Purple House arrived today.  I look forward to my adult children's faces on Christmas morning.  Thanks for your help.  Spent some time reading your web pages today for the first time.  Particularly enjoyed the "Most Requested" section.  I have some of those books.  Interesting !
