LOGANBERRY LEGACY
I had this once and put the happy customer's comments on the I Remember That Book! page, and I've been swamped with requests ever since.  Many of these requests are from European customers, but not all of them, since there was an American edition published in Cleveland.

Hey, where's my favorite title?

Out-of-print books are harder to stock than new books, and some are hard to find, period.  If the title you are seeking is not listed for sale above, that probably means that I am currently out of stock.  However, I am always on the lookout for books, and will gladly quote you when I do find your coveted book. To add your name to my Wants Files, simply fill out a Book Request Form and I will e-mail you when I have a copy in stock.  Thanks.

SELECTED STUMPERS & REQUESTS
I almost wept when I saw you had it and sold it (I presume)--our local used book store owner found 2 editions on the net almost a year ago, one for $35 and one for $200 and by the time she told me and went back for them they were gone!!

You found one for another searcher - the only copy I've even seen is one from a library in northern ontario - I'd really love to have a copy - good luck

I would love to get a hold of any book written by Jean Dulieu. I know that she wrote Paulus and the Acornmen and I am pretty sure that she wrote others as well.

Shape of the book is not important, except that I'd like it to be read-able.  Cover is not important, condition is not an issue.  I just want a readable copy!  Thanks.

I was so excited to hear that you had found the Acornmen for another client.  I hope you can help me as well.  I have seen the book recently in libraries but not anywhere else.

Dulieu is a Dutch author, I seek the english translated edition.  It's just the cutest book.  Good luck.

Hello, I hope you accept requests from Europe, because I live in the Netherlands.  I'm collecting all the Paulus de Boskabouter books - books written by Jean Dulieu (a Dutch author).  Yes, I know, you just sold one, I'm very jealous!  I would appreciate any help you can give me on finding this book.

I know this was originally a Dutch book but it was printed (maybe only once) in English via Canada in 1966.  My parents have a beautiful mint condition version, but are not willing to let it go.  Can you help?  I have kids of my own now and this was a great book for me when I was young.  Thank you!

For now, though, I would like you to find another children's book for me if possible - Paulus and the Acornmen by Jean Dulieu. I think you found one for someone else - I was looking for it on the Web and that's how I came across your site. Thanks again, and let me know if you come across a copy of Paulus in good condition (I know this is sometimes a challenge with kids' books!).

My mother has searched for this book forever. All I know about it is that Paulus is a woodgnome and he meets the acornmen. I would love to be able to give her this book.

My sister-in-law speaks of this book fondly.  The family had a house fire 30 years ago that obliterated everything, including this book.  Apparently it's one of those books that embodies much of her childhood memories.  I would love to find it for her and give it to her for her 40th birthday.  Let me know what you find.

Have had Paulus and the Acornmen since I was a child.  It is still my favorite book!

I will take this book in any condition although prefebly good of coarse, as long as it is readable.

Just crawled your pages after having surfed in. Ooops, you must be having a weektime job doing all this..... Before jumping into the whole cicruit let me ask you this :(after reading about Paulus by Jean Dulieu) Have you ever been requested for a search onthe Dutch writer/artist Marten Toonder ? (He created Tom Poes -english : Tom Puss- and Panda and many other characters.) His works have been published in many countries, including the Anglo-Saxon regions and Scandinavia.

Beetlekin the Brave was was one of my favorite books to read AND look at, and still is.  I now have children and have introduced them to this sentimental favorite.  Those looking for the book - you can sometimes find it on ebay being sold.

I stumbled on your website after searching for Paulus in Google.  Glad to see there are others out there who love and remember this book.  I have a ragged copy that is now treasured by my 10-year-old daughter.  The photo here reminded me of the long-gone dust cover.  My grandmother gave me the copy in the mid-60s.  It's probably my favorite book from childhood and I still have the occasional nightmare about the witch!

The hardback version was a good size book and about 10" x 12" ...yellowish colored I can visualize it... but can't quite touch on the author's name.  WOULD VERY MUCH APPRECIATE IT IF YOU COULD FIND IT!!!  THANK YOU THANK YOU THANKYOU

this is a book that i remember from my childhood, and that i'd like to get for my brother for his birthday.  i did a search and saw that you had found it before for someone else - hopefully we will have similar luck? please let me know!

I am (have been for several years) looking for the book Beetlekin the Brave (auth: Jean Dulieu) for several years now. It is a book that my brothers and sisters (any myself) all learned to read from.  Now that my nieces and nephews are getting old enough, I want to have them learn to read on this book.  Have you ever come across this book?

I have been searching for this book for years, even the library that had it when I was a child thought I was crazy when I went back to find it, since it was long gone and no one remembered it.  It was my absolute favorite book as a child, when I saw it on your list, it gave me hope again.

I read this book in the early 70's and fell in love with it.  I don't know the author, publisher, etc., but I'm pretty confident about the title: The Adventures of Beetlekin the Brave.  It's a story of a small beetle-like man who goes on adventures away from home and winds up fighting his way through various situations.  I'd appreciate any information you might have.  Just having someone tell me they've actually heard of it would be a great relief to me.  I've tried the common places like Amazon and Borders, plus numerous local book dealers but none have found anything.  It's possible that this book was printed in Europe.

My family has lost its copy of the book Beetlekin the Brave.  Do you have the ability to get this book or do you know where I can locate a copy.

I had a book when I was young with the title The Adventures of Beetlekin the Brave or something to that effect.  It was about a dwarf who meets a magical elephant, who then takes the dwarf on a series of self-discovering adventures.  I remember the best part of the book was teh full page watercolours.  I don't remember the author, but I would love to be able to share this wonderful book with my own two small children, and would appreciate any help.  Thanks!

Looking for this book for sentimental reasons, not for collector reasons.  Additional titles by the author would be an added bonus.

you can look at Dutch auctionsites such as: www.viaveiling.nl www.ricardo.nl     www.ibazar.nl  www.ebay.com,  there is one person who has everything on this subject:  Klaas de Krijger, I have his address but where? He mostly sells at the aution of www.ricardo.nl  I don't need a copy of this book! I possess the Dutch version.

klaas de krijger can be reached through www.depapierencirkel.com and he lives in midoud, holland

This is my favorite book from when I was a child, and (I believe) the first _real_ book I read by myself, cover-to-cover.  My grandparents gave us our huge copy, but it's long gone.  I have two kids now, with another on the way, and they're incredible book lovers.  So I'd love to find a copy of Paulus.  Thanks!

Something caused me to think of Beetlekin the Brave tonight.  A Google search immediately put me onto your Jean Dulieu page.  Thank you!!  I remember Beetlekin and Paulus very well indeed.  I am gratified to see that many other people have fond recollections of those books.  You might get a kick out of the fact that I am the great-grandson of Alfred B Cahen, who founded the World Publishing Company.  World was still owned by my family into the 60's, and I once had a copy of just about every children's book ever printed by World; I must have had my own copies of Beetlekin the Brave and Paulus and the Acornmen.  After all these years (I am 45) I still have most of the books from my childhood--but apparently not those two.  Alas.

Jean Dulieu,  Paulus and the Acornmen.  A friend of mine asked me if I was able to find her this book, since I am Dutch I am able to read the Dutch web sites for her. I can also read English and to my surprise found your site with the book she wanted. But I am disappointed by you comment, you write it to be "A Scandanavian classic". Please open any atlas and you will notice that the Netherlands is not part of Scandinavia.
