LOGANBERRY LEGACY
Beastly Boys and Ghastly Girls has achieved a rather cult-like following.  For those with siblings, especially. The original edition was illustrated by Tomi Ungerer in 1964, and a later edition was illustrated by Shel Silverstein in 1977 (in which "Sarah Cynthia Sylvia Stout" of garbage fame first appeared).

My mother had this book and lost it to Hurricane Hugo. I have been desperately trying to replace it since. Please Help!!

I found this book on Amazon.com, but it costs $324.47! Is this the going rate for this book??

Hi!  I don't have a copy in stock but you can find more info on authors through Gale Research. Bill Cole was a well-known editor of poetry anthologies, especially children's books.  He lived here in New York City but did pass away a couple of years ago.  I had the pleasure of meeting him when he would come up to my apartment to sell spare kid's books from his own collection. Nice man!  Another anthology he did contained excerpts from Punch Magazine.

Originally published in 1964. Another book by the same name was published in 1977 by Silverstein. I would be interested in either one. Thank you.

Hi, I used to read this book to my younger sister and 
brothers. Sadly my sister passed away last June. My copy of the book waas lost in a house fire that took many of our posessions. I would love to have a copy in any condition. It is just for nostalgia. Thanks

Just a note in case you had not heard that a reprint of this book is apparently coming out in March of 2002.

My Mother had been looking for this book as it was a perennial favorite of our family. They say it is edited by Stefan Czernecki and the publisher is Harpercollins Juvenile Books; ISBN: 0060249528. It is obviously not an exact  reprint of the original but it may be acceptable for some who are still looking for this title. There was also an edition published in 1977 which was illustrated by Shel Silverstein who's poem 'Nothing To Do' is one of the most remembered from the 1964 original.
I still haven't been able to get my hands on this adaptation...
According to Baker & Taylor, this reprint should finally be available 1/30/2005.
