These are wordless books that are limited only by your imagination.  Read aloud with a young child, and add to the adventures each time.  You may be surprised by how many things the child can see in these illustrations, so don't forget to make the reading a joint process!  This page is still in process!!
 

Anno's Journey by Mitsamo Anno Anno has written a whole slew of incredibly detailed and completely wordless books which engage the reader's attention.  Or is that Anno has drawn books that engage a spectactor's attention?  Make up your own story!	A Boy, A Dog, A Frog, and A Friend by Mercer Mayer I loved these books as a kid.  Boy and Dog get into all sorts of trouble, and the consequences of each mistake must be traced through the silence and details of the pictures. Great fun.
Squirrels by Brian Wildsmith Maybe a couple words, but mostly just Wildsmith's jazzy paintings and great sense of humor.  Great fun to share aloud with any youngster.	The Wind by Monique Felix Not a word in sight, but the story is very clear and the mouse's journeys and escapades with the wind are fabulous. Simple drawings with great use of perspective, especially in the science of folding paper.
Good Dog, Carl by Alexandra Day Carl is a Rottweiler who often serves as babysitter.  Mother is completely confident that Carl can take care of Baby, but I wonder if she knows how many adventures ensue in her absence?	Sector 7  by David Wiesner  A class trip climbs the Empire State Building but it's too overcast to see much. Unless you're looking at the clouds, that is, and then it's a whole other adventure...
