Harlin
Quist is not your average
children's book publisher. Their works were avant-garde at
the time, and remain so even today. The acclaimed authors and illustrators
who worked on these books may not have necessarily meant these books for
children, but as memories of childhood, and as such they have long been
collected by adults with a more sophisticated interest in books than Pat
the Bunny. They are also time capsules, hard to find, artistic
