Rebecca has been a faithful employee for almost 5 years.  She is the major out-of-print book researcher, and her knowledge of music, theatre and books is impressive.  Here are here blogposts, as well as other blogposts that make reference to her.

REBECCA THE CRITIC
Thursday, September 20, 2007
Harriett

Rebecca has been invited to air reviews of Equity theatre productions for her former employer, WCLV.  So she gallantly went off to see the Cleveland Play House production of Man of La Mancha, and judging from seeing her the morning after, I gather she stayed up all night crafting her review!  We don't know if her efforts will receive air time because the Critic's Choice series is still seeking a sponsor, but the review is available online. (I'll try to refrain from making bad puns about the impossible dream.  OK, I'm done now.)

LIZ ENTERS ADOLESCENCE
Monday, September 10, 2007
Harriett

When Rebecca began working for Loganberry, I think her daughter Liz was 8.  This weekend, Liz turned 13, and so has entered that graceful period known as adolescence.  She's been gearing up for this for some time of course, and is fabulously flippant about the milestone.

"So, you're an teenager now, are you?"
"Uh--I guess so."
Perfect.  Happy Birthday, Liz.
[I hope to get her hooked on Stephenie Meyer's Twilight series.  So far, so good.]

QUINN
Friday, August 24, 2007
Rebecca

So there we were at the Cleveland Browns practice camp - the last of the summer and the HOTTEST - and there's young Peter Knab with sister and friends.  Peter is no stranger to Loganberry since his mom (me) works there and Peter often cruises the store in his wheelchair offering help and striking up conversations.  After practice, the dripping players came over to the barrier to sign autographs for the fans - very nice of them actually, since an air-conditioned room and cold shower were no doubt waiting.  At the very end, the big star Quinn comes out  (well, we hope he's gonna be a big star - hope springs eternal in the Cleveland sports breast), signs things, and then, right before leaving, takes off his practice jersey and hands it to Peter.
Dropped jaws all round.
I have been forbidden to wash it.
The story no doubt would have impressed Harriett more if I hadn't had to explain WHO BRADY QUINN IS.

PS:  I have told Peter this "cutest-kid-in-wheelchair" stuff won't last much longer.  He says he knows, but plans to enjoy it in the meantime.
